Hey guys,

I've been thinking about a little project over the past year and finally decided to try and do it. I will be posting this on 4-5 websites to try and get a good database going. What I want to do is compile a listing of local card shops that you go to or have been to and give me a few pros and cons about the place. Please do not totally bash the places that you will not go back to (I know I have a few) but a statement like horrible shop, bad selection, terrible customer service is acceptable, I don't want to be held liable in a lawsuit for defaming someones character, ie John jacobs is a crook and searches all his boxes.

So please PM me the following:

1. Name of the shop
2. Location: Street address is great, but if you don't know, at least city and state
3. Pros and cons
4. Would you recommend this shop?

Hopefuly this will serve 2 goals...1) to help us weed out the good shops and help us find new shops to go to, 2) help increase the business of the little huys, I've seen too many good shops have to close up.

Thanks,
Phil

Also looking for Yao Ming, LBJ, and Dwayne Wade in Basketball

Great idea Phil I will be the first to reply

Jacksonville Sports Cards

Located on Cassette Ave. in the sunny city of Jacksonville, Florida

I go to this shop often since it is the only shop close enough to me. Three or four times a year local sports figures show up to autograph items and promote their teams. The shop is locally owned and operated by a great group of guys. The selection is great depending on the sports that is happening at the time, if they do not have it they will try to find it for you. Also when you become a loyal customer they give you discounts.

As for cons I do not know of any unless it is the small parking lot that only allows 8 cars in it at one time and getting into the parking lot is tricky since it is off a main road that is very busy

Ball Four Sports Cards

(804) 745-3687

10924 Hull Street Rd
Midlothian, VA 23112

I have visited Ball Four Sports Cards on a couple of occasions. Great selection on singles and boxes. Looking forward to my next visit. Only problem I made a few other trips there and they was closed, so be sure to call, if you don't know their hours and days they are open.

Games and Cards
1716 Colorado Blvd.
Eagle Rock, CA 90041

I only visit this shop whenever I need card supplies. This shop has a lot of unused floor space for some reason although they do have a decent selection of cards and supplies. Like many shops, the majority of their business comes from online sales. Their staff has always been very friendly and helpful to me.
